The countdown to Bigg Boss 20 has begun, and the makers seem to be putting together a rather interesting mix of contestants this year. While several names have been doing the rounds, Film Window has learnt that actress Mahhi Vij has signed the upcoming season of Bigg Boss.
Mahhi’s name has been linked to reality television for some time now. In fact, before Bigg Boss 20, the actress was reportedly approached for other reality shows, including Lock Upp 2 and Alliance. However, things did not work out at the time. Now, according to our exclusive information, Mahhi has finally said yes to Bigg Boss 20.
Her entry comes at an interesting time in her personal life. Mahhi and actor Jay Bhanushali announced their separation earlier this year after 14 years of marriage. The couple, who are parents to three children, have maintained that they will continue to co-parent their kids. Their separation has been widely discussed, making Mahhi’s decision to enter a show like Bigg Boss all the more interesting.
For Mahhi, reality television is not unfamiliar territory. She has earlier participated in shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi, and also won Nach Baliye 5 with Jay Bhanushali. She therefore knows what it is like to live under constant cameras and deal with the pressures that come with reality television.
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 20 has already generated considerable curiosity among viewers. Mary Kom, Aman Gandhi, Khushi Dubey, Isha Rikhi and Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu**, have been almost confirmed for the season. However, not all of these names have been officially confirmed by the makers yet.
Mahhi’s inclusion could add another interesting dynamic to the house. She has also done many TV shows and was last seen in Seher Hone ko hai. Apart from her television career, viewers are likely to be curious about her personality, her approach to the game and, naturally, whether she chooses to speak about the changes in her personal life.
