Dipika Kakar is gradually making her way back to the professional world after taking a break from acting. The actress is now preparing for a special comeback project alongside her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, with the duo set to feature together in an upcoming music video.
While fans are excited to see Dipika back on screen, the actress has made it clear that she is not ready to take on the hectic routine of television just yet. In her recent vlog, she discussed her current treatment and the impact of its side effects, explaining why committing to a daily television show would be difficult for her at this stage.
Addressing whether she could return to a daily soap, Dipika candidly said, “daily toh mujhe nahi lagta main kar paungi.” She also spoke about the practical difficulties of being considered for a television project while continuing with her treatment. The actress questioned, “koi mujhe aise treatment ke saath koi mujhe cast kyun karega?”
However, Dipika is not ruling out work altogether. She explained that shorter assignments are something she can consider and revealed that the music video offered her an opportunity to work without putting herself through the demanding schedule of a daily show. She said, “gaana ek din ka shoot definitely manage kiya ja sakta hai.”
Her upcoming project will also mark her on screen reunion with Shoaib Ibrahim. The couple has previously worked together, and their collaboration in the music video is now adding another reason for fans to look forward to Dipika’s comeback.
At the same time, Dipika admitted that returning to the camera after her break comes with its own set of emotions. While she is happy about getting back to work, she is also understandably nervous about stepping into the professional space again.
For now, the actress appears to be opting for projects that allow her greater flexibility instead of immediately returning to the demanding schedule associated with daily television. Her music video with Shoaib will therefore mark a more measured beginning to her return to acting, allowing her to continue working while navigating her ongoing treatment.
