Television actress Yukti Kapoor has addressed the distance that has emerged between her and Bhavika Sharma. The two actresses, who were once associated through Maddam Sir, are no longer in touch, and Yukti recently opened up about what led her to step away from the equation.
For Yukti, friendship is not something she takes casually. She said that once she accepts someone as a friend, she puts genuine effort into maintaining that relationship. However, she also believes there comes a point when it is better to accept that a bond has changed rather than keep trying to revive something that no longer feels comfortable.
The actress brought up an encounter with Bhavika when members of the Maddam Sir cast got together again. Yukti recalled being excited to see her former co star and said that she greeted her with the same warmth she would have shown someone she was still close to. She remembered Bhavika as “very cute” but said the meeting eventually left her feeling uneasy.
According to Yukti, there were certain things about Bhavika’s behaviour that did not sit well with her. She also referred to information she had received about conversations allegedly taking place about her in her absence. These experiences, she indicated, made her reassess the friendship and the place it held in her life.
Yukti also questioned the way people behave when they meet someone with whom they once shared a close bond. Even when two people are no longer friends, she feels there should still be some affection and courtesy because of the history they share.
She further pointed towards the period when Bhavika became a part of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, saying that she noticed a shift in their equation around that phase and subsequently. Yukti’s comments suggest that the changes she witnessed eventually contributed to her choosing to maintain her distance.
Despite everything, Yukti does not appear interested in prolonging the matter. She said that she has decided to leave the episode behind instead of allowing it to continue affecting her. The actresses may no longer share the same friendship they once did, but Yukti has seemingly made peace with the changed equation.
