The controversy between Shehzad Poonawalla and Siwet Tomar from Rise And Fall 2 continues to remain a talking point even after the latter’s exit from the reality show. Now, Shehzad, who emerged as the winner of the season, has opened up about his equation with Siwet and shared some rather pointed advice for his former co contestant.
In a conversation with India Forums, Shehzad addressed Siwet’s version of the physical altercation that eventually led to his eviction from the show. Reacting to Siwet’s claims of not pushing him, Shehzad maintained that the decision to remove the latter was taken by the show’s makers for a reason. He also indicated that the incident was not something that went unnoticed by the people present inside the house.
Speaking about the matter, Shehzad said, “I think there is a reason why he was evicted from the show. That decision was taken by the makers. I forgave him. But clearly there was something that he did which everyone in the house saw which the cameras saw and he has a pattern. He’s been doing this on show after show what I’ve been told.”
However, Shehzad did not stop there. When asked what he would like to tell Siwet, the reality show winner suggested that the latter should spend more time understanding the thoughts and ideologies of influential personalities instead of relying on physical aggression. Taking a dig at him, Shehzad brought up Mahatma Gandhi and Dr BR Ambedkar as people Siwet should read about.
He remarked, “I will only tell him to read about Ambedkar and Gandhi. If he does, I think he will increase his brain rather than his brawn.”
Shehzad further expressed that he would prefer Siwet to handle disagreements with words and rational arguments if he gets another opportunity to participate in a reality show. He added, “And maybe hopefully next time he goes for a show if anybody invites him he’ll probably use his tongue or his mind rather than his body. I think it should be that in any democracy or in any such system and I just want to leave it at that I don’t give too much importance.”
For the unversed, Shehzad and Siwet’s disagreement on Rise And Fall 2 eventually escalated into a physical confrontation. The incident led to the makers taking action against Siwet, who was subsequently shown the exit door. Following his eviction, Siwet reportedly maintained that he had not pushed Shehzad, leading to further discussions surrounding the incident.
Meanwhile, Shehzad went on to lift the winner’s trophy of Rise And Fall 2. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary finished as the first runner up, while Gautam Gulati secured the second runner up position. Despite the season concluding, the fallout between Shehzad and Siwet continues to draw attention.
