Abhishek Malhan recently opened up about Farrhana Bhatt’s unexpected absence from the latest season of Roadies Rebirth. The reality television show returned with its 21st season, and Farrhana was reportedly approached to take on the role of a Gang Leader. However, she eventually decided against participating in the adventure based reality show.
Speaking about the development, Abhishek revealed that Farrhana was expected to be a part of the season until very close to its commencement. According to him, her decision to step away came because of a medical issue. Abhishek also admitted that he had been looking forward to working alongside her and had even imagined the two of them being part of the same team.
While talking about his association with the show, Abhishek recalled how excited he was when he learnt that Farrhana could also be joining the season. He said, “I was very excited because she (Farrhana) was also supposed to join Roadies Rebirth but uska koi medical problem chal raha hai, for that reason.”
The Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame further shared that he had already discussed the possibility of teaming up with Farrhana. Recalling their conversation, he said, “Farrhana bhai aag laga denge ham dono mil ke. Tu meri team mein aayegi. Sabko mil ke aisi taisi karenge.” However, things changed just before filming began. Abhishek added, “But, ek raat pehle, ek din pehle, matlab medical condition ke wajah se she did not do it.”
Farrhana subsequently addressed the speculation surrounding her absence through her social media account. The reality star confirmed that she would not be stepping into the Gang Leader role on Roadies Rebirth this season.
She also explained that the decision was a conscious one. After her stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi, Farrhana felt that she needed to take a break from shows that require intense physical participation and adventure based tasks. Her decision came after pushing herself through the demanding challenges of the stunt based reality show.
Farrhana’s exit meant that viewers would not get to see the pairing that Abhishek had been anticipating. Given their previous reality show experiences, his comments have also sparked curiosity among fans about what their dynamic could have looked like had Farrhana eventually joined the Roadies gang.
