Is Qazi Touqeer being bullied inside the Bigg Boss 20 house, or has the contestant simply found himself on the wrong side of changing equations? That question has become increasingly difficult to ignore as the singer finds himself caught in one confrontation after another while the friendships he once relied on appear to be falling apart. What makes the situation more striking is that Qazi has also been dealing with health issues inside the house, making his recent emotional breakdowns even more difficult to watch.
Qazi’s equation with the housemates has changed dramatically since the beginning of the season. He was initially seen forming close bonds with Uditi Singh, Arishfa Khan and Aman Gandhi. However, that group dynamic appears to have fractured in recent days. Qazi has openly expressed his hurt over Arishfa distancing herself from him, particularly because he had developed a strong emotional attachment to her and referred to her as a daughter figure. In a recent emotional moment, he even broke down after Arishfa gave him her share of vegetables when he was hungry. He later told Mahhi Vij that he was deeply hurt because he had treated Arishfa like a younger sister.
The situation becomes more complicated when one looks at his equation with Aman and Uditi. The trio that once appeared close to Qazi is no longer standing beside him in the same way. In fact, recent conversations have seen Aman, Uditi and Arishfa discussing Qazi’s game and questioning whether he deserves to be in the house. This is perhaps why the argument of whether Qazi is being systematically isolated has started gaining attention among viewers.
Then there is Yung DSA. Qazi’s equation with Yung has been volatile almost from the beginning. Their very first major confrontation began after Qazi mimicked Yung, with the argument quickly becoming personal and even involving references to their families. Their clashes did not end there. They have subsequently found themselves on opposite sides during tasks, with Yung accusing Qazi of rough play and Qazi rejecting the allegations.
And now Scout OP has also entered the picture. The latest episodes have brought another intense confrontation between Scout and Qazi, with reports suggesting that the argument escalated to the point where the two pushed each other. For a contestant who already appears to be losing some of his closest relationships, repeatedly becoming embroiled in such confrontations can understandably make the house feel increasingly hostile.
What makes the situation particularly interesting, however, is Mahhi Vij’s role in all of this. Mahhi has increasingly become Qazi’s closest ally inside the house, even as she herself has had disagreements with several contestants. The two have been seen discussing the changing equations and analysing other housemates together. Recently, Mahhi even questioned Aman and Uditi’s equation, calling Aman Uditi’s “sidekick” and “PR”, while Qazi agreed with her assessment.
Yet even Mahhi’s position as Qazi’s supposed safe space comes with complications. While she has repeatedly stood by him, the latest conversations suggest that she is also discussing other contestants and their game behind their backs. This raises an interesting question about whether Qazi has genuinely found a dependable friend in Mahhi or whether the two have simply gravitated towards each other because both have found themselves increasingly disconnected from the larger group.
There is also a larger pattern worth examining. Qazi has not been completely passive in these conflicts. He has initiated some confrontations, made remarks that have provoked other contestants and has himself participated in conversations about fellow housemates. His clash with Yung, for instance, did not emerge out of nowhere. Similarly, Salman Khan has previously called Qazi out over his conduct during the Kanika Mann controversy and questioned his handling of the situation. So it would be unfair to portray him as completely blameless in every disagreement.
But bullying is not always about one person being entirely innocent and another being entirely responsible. Sometimes the more important question is whether one contestant is repeatedly becoming the target of criticism, isolation and confrontation while having progressively fewer people around them.
That is precisely what seems to be happening with Qazi right now.
Even Gauahar Khan’s reaction to his recent breakdown highlights how differently his journey is being perceived outside the house. She became emotional watching Qazi cry and criticised Aman, Uditi and Arishfa for continuing to target him when he was already unwell and facing pressure from other housemates. Her reaction does not prove that Qazi is being bullied, but it does show that the emotional impact of his current situation is visible enough to evoke a strong response from viewers and former contestants.
There is another layer to this. Qazi has recently been dealing with health concerns, with his team confirming that he remained under medical care while continuing his Bigg Boss journey. At a time when he is physically vulnerable, watching former friends question his game and getting involved in repeated confrontations can naturally make his emotional reactions appear even more intense.
So, is Qazi Touqeer being bullied?
Perhaps the more accurate answer is that he appears to be increasingly isolated and repeatedly targeted in conflicts, but the label of bullying remains subjective. There are legitimate disagreements involving Qazi, and he is capable of giving it back just as strongly. However, the emotional distance from Uditi, Aman and Arishfa, the continuing friction with Yung and Scout, and his increasing dependence on Mahhi have undeniably changed the landscape around him.
The biggest concern for Qazi may therefore not be one particular fight. It may be the fact that the contestant who entered the house surrounded by friendships now appears to have only one person consistently standing beside him.
And in a show where alliances can change overnight, that isolation could end up becoming either Qazi’s biggest weakness or the very thing that makes viewers root for him.
