A fresh controversy has erupted around Playground Season 5, with mentors Elvish Yadav and Tejasswi Prakash becoming the centre of attention after an intense argument between the two was captured on camera. The clip, which has been widely shared across social media, has sparked a discussion about the equation between the reality stars.
Elvish and Tejasswi were previously seen sharing a friendly rapport when they appeared together on Laughter Chefs. However, their equation appears to have taken an unexpected turn on the sets of Playground. A recently surfaced video shows the two mentors involved in a heated exchange while discussing the performance of contestants.
The disagreement reportedly began when Elvish was addressing members of his team and expressing his displeasure over their performance. Things escalated after Tejasswi intervened during the conversation. Elvish then lost his temper and told her, “Shut the f*ck up.” The exchange quickly became a talking point online, with viewers sharing different reactions to the confrontation.
Amid the growing discussion, Elvish addressed the incident on X and appeared to question Tejasswi’s conduct. He suggested that footage from the sets had been leaked in an attempt to shape the narrative around their argument and portray him negatively.
‘‘If someone tries to create a “boy-girl” narrative about me on national television, I’m not okay with it and honestly, no one should be. Dragging a gender angle into everything is not cool.
I responded in the language that the situation deserved.
Giving false interviews and speaking disrespectfully about my fans is unacceptable. And leaking videos from the set just to look cool or to make the other person seem wrong isn’t right either,’’ Elvish wrote on his X handle.
He also appeared to take a personal dig at Tejasswi while continuing to address the controversy. “I’ll give you better investment plans so your money goes to the right place. Don’t waste it on PR.”
The public fallout has now put their equation under scrutiny, particularly given that the two had earlier been seen on friendly terms.
