Anuj Thakur actor death: The television industry has been left saddened by the untimely demise of actor Anuj Thakur, who passed away on October 27 at the age of 33. Known for his appearances in several television shows, the actor’s sudden death has come as a shock to his friends, family and former colleagues. Reports suggest that Anuj suffered a seizure while asleep and unfortunately could not survive.
The news of his passing was confirmed by his close friend and casting director Rupesh Sonar, who shared an emotional tribute on social media. Remembering the bond they shared over the years, Rupesh spoke about how Anuj had been more than just a colleague to him. He also recalled watching the actor navigate the early stages of his career and the professional journey they had shared. In his post, Rupesh wrote, “Still can’t believe that you are no longer with us. You were not just a friend but like a little brother to me. We had so many projects planned together, and I still remember witnessing your struggles during your initial days and seeing your journey. Life is truly unpredictable. It’s heartbreaking to accept that you are gone so soon. This news feels unreal. You will always be remembered, brother. Rest in peace,”
Rupesh and Anuj’s professional association goes back to 2008, when they crossed paths on the sets of Bandhan Saath Janmon Ka. Over time, the two also collaborated on projects like Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga and continued sharing a close bond.
Speaking to The Times of India, Rupesh revealed that he was finding it difficult to process the news, especially since he had met Anuj just 10 days before his demise. He shared that after receiving the news, he contacted the actor’s brother but later visited the family to understand what had happened. It was during this visit that he learnt about the seizure that reportedly led to Anuj’s death.
Rupesh also spoke about the actor’s daily routine, revealing that he was particular about fitness and usually woke up around 4:30 am for jogging. On the unfortunate morning, however, Anuj did not respond when his alarm rang. His mother went into his room to wake him up and discovered that he had passed away.
Interestingly, Anuj had been discussing the possibility of returning to television when Rupesh last met him. The actor was reportedly enthusiastic about resuming his acting career and exploring fresh opportunities. His sudden passing has left behind several unfinished plans and a deep sense of loss among those who knew him.
