In a surprising revelation, actress Payal Rohatgi has come forward with claims that two popular reality shows on Colors TV—Celebrity MasterChef and Pati Patni Aur Panga, were inspired by her own ideas and life experiences.
Taking to her social media, Payal shared that the concept of Celebrity MasterChef came soon after she started posting cooking content online. She said that when she began exploring her passion for food and expressed interest in turning it into a business, a celebrity cooking show suddenly appeared on television. According to her, this timing wasn’t just a coincidence, it was a clear case of her idea being picked up and adapted.
But that’s not all.
Payal also pointed out that Pati Patni Aur Panga, a show focused on married life and relationship challenges, felt eerily similar to the real-life moments she had shared with fans on Instagram. She explained that when she opened up about the ups and downs of her relationship with fiancé Sangram Singh, including their challenges and bonding moments, those very themes were later mirrored in a reality show format.
In her own words, Payal hinted that these shows were not just “inspired” but were “copied from her real-life content.” While she hasn’t announced any legal action, her post clearly reflects disappointment over not being credited or acknowledged for the original inspiration.
Payal has always been known for being bold and outspoken, and this latest statement adds another chapter to her list of candid confessions. Whether the channel responds to these claims or not, she has definitely stirred up a conversation about originality, ownership, and the fine line between social content and TV programming.
As of now, Colors TV has not issued any statement in response.
