OMG 2 was in the headlines for a long time. The film faced censorship issues for its subject.
Later on the film was rated ‘A’ by the Censor Board and some necessary changes were made.
The film is based on Sex Education and is linked with God. There are high chances that it might create a controversy post release.
Yami Gautam in an exclusive interview with us said that, there won’t be any controversy or problem post the release of the film, but a discussion will definitely take place and it is very important for the subject which it is dealing with.
While speaking about the censorship (A Rated) and chances of any controversy taking place post release of OMG 2, Yami said, “I don’t think there will be any problem after watching the film. If someone has made up his mind to write something controversial, then it’s all up to that person. But personally I don’t feel there would be any such controversy post release. If anyone has a doubt related to the subject, after the release I won’t think there would be any problem. Yes discussions will definitely take place and it must happen because you are making a film on such a topic. In life also, if you are taking a certain initiative for anything, the first step is always very challenging. For example, if you are starting a workout, the first journey from your bed (home) to Gym is the hardest. This is a petty example which I am giving, but once you reach gym, you feel like you’re fully energized. Change doesn’t take place in one day, it takes time, sometimes it takes generations. But in today’s time this subject and conversation is very important. We also see that there is an opinion in everything for the age group of 12 to 17. There is a formal education for children. We also know that whatever we have learned in school we remember that properly and it has a long lasting impression on us. So after watching this film I don’t think there should be any problem.
OMG 2 is all set to release on 11th August. The film is directed by Amit Rai. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
