From playing Urmila in Siya Ke Ram to the lovable Karishma Singh in Maddam Sir, Yukti Kapoor has been a familiar face in Indian households. Now, she is making her OTT debut with Let’s Play Blind on Hungama OTT, a sizzling thriller set in the high-stakes world of gambling.

Let’s Play Blind follows three glamorous friends, Mohini, Neeta, and Shanaya, who gamble not just for money but for power, control, and to fill the voids in their lives. Things take a dangerous turn when Mohak and his partner Kavya enter the scene with hidden agendas. In private rooms brimming with secrets, seduction, and lies, hidden cameras capture everything, and the real game begins. Pride, secrets, and even lives are at stake.

Yukti plays Mohini, a coy married woman with knife-sharp instincts, silently battling her inner demons while ruling the gambling floor. “I enjoy thrillers because they keep audiences at the edge of their seats. This role lets me explore a new side of myself,” she says.

Talking about her co-stars, Yukti laughs, “Ek bhi cat fight nahi hui. Sab bohot pyaar se rehte hai. Insecurity sirf aapko sad karti hai aur bura insan banati hai, toh kind raho.”

While Let’s Play Blind comes with its share of bold sequences, Yukti is clear about her boundaries. “Mai mere mummy papa se bohot darti hu. Mai bilkul nahi chahti ki mai kuch aisa karu jisse unhe uncomfortable ho. But working with Hungama OTT, I was comfortable throughout.”

After a year-long break from TV, Yukti reveals the reason wasn’t lack of interest. “TV me ek common line ho gayi hai ki budget nahi hai. I’m constantly auditioning, but sometimes it’s budget issues, sometimes the role isn’t right.”

She’s also faced rejections for her weight and lack of grooming early in her career. “Someone once told me, ‘Tum poster face nahi ho, tum healthy ho bohot zyada.’ I took it positively and started working on myself. When I focused on self-improvement, work started coming in.”

Despite moving on from Maddam Sir, Yukti remains close to her co-stars and has deep admiration for their work, “We’re still in touch and meet often. I feel no one could have played Gulki’s role better than Gulki herself.”

“I’d love to play something like Maddam Sir again, but I also request the audience to give my other roles the same love.”

With her fearless yet family-conscious approach, Yukti Kapoor is all set to deal her next winning hand, this time in the OTT gambling world. Watch Let’s Play Blind on Hungama OTT.
