Sushmita Sen is amongst one of the popular actresses our country has produced.
Sushmita won the Miss Universe pageant in 1994 at the age of 18. She started her career in acting at the age of 20. Her debut film Dastak came in 1996. Sushmita has been a part of many memorable films since then.
Sushmita was last seen in 2010 in two films. She appeared in the films Dulha Mil Gaya and No Problem in 2010.
Sushmita took a break from acting for many years. She announced her comeback with Disney+ Hotstar’s web series titled Aarya.
Sushmita got immense appreciation for her web series Aarya and Taali. Sushmita made a great comeback and left a solid mark on the viewers.
Sushmita was present at Aarya 3’s trailer launch. She was asked whether Bollywood has underutilized her because after seeing back to back fine performances in Aarya and Taali, Sushmita has proved her caliber as an actor.
To this Sushmita replied by saying, “See, my biggest blessing in life is that where we can think about this, that maybe he or she or somebody else didn’t give me that chance or they couldn’t recognise my potential. It’s a very small thing. The big thing is that I will be 30 years old in 2024. 30 years in this. And I was 18 years old when I was made to stand on a stage like this and I met for the first time my people, my country, my identity. After 30 years of that, whatever I have done in life, my people have supported me. It’s such a big thing that in that industry, where I left my work for 8 years in prime time, that industry welcomed me again with so much love. Why? Because my audience is great. And as long as they want to see me, nobody can harm me.”
Sushmita Sen will be next in the third season of Disney+ Hotstar’s crime thriller Aarya. Aarya is all set to stream from 3rd November.
