In a candid post-show reflection, actor and The Traitors contestant Sudhanshu Pandey sat down with Film Window and shared his unfiltered thoughts about his journey on the reality show, from playing the game smartly and silently to his feelings about the winners and contestants who made waves.
While he maintained a composed outlook, Sudhanshu subtly admitted that he did feel a tinge of regret about not winning, stating, he might have deserved the trophy… the way he reached till there, he played smartly, calmly, and strategically. It would’ve been nice to win it. Still, he took the loss in stride, acknowledging that it was his first time on such a format, and the experience itself was valuable.
When asked about Urfi Javed and Nikita’s big win, Sudhanshu gave a diplomatic yet telling response. He praised Nikita for being a genuinely good and innocent player who navigated the game with grace. As for Urfi, his opinion was more measured. “I don’t know exactly if she deserved to win or not… but she did win, so maybe she did.” A soft comment that hinted at some reservations without throwing shade.
Addressing the controversy around Urfi being loud and short-tempered, which led to suspicions during the “circle of shakh,” Sudhanshu stood neutral. He explained it might have been a product of pressure and intense circumstances. Long stays, tension, mental fatigue it affects behavior. Maybe people reacted to that version of her, he reasoned.
On the much-talked-about Apoorva-Urfi conflict, Sudhanshu chose the higher ground. “I don’t want to comment on that. I believe people should be more peaceful and respectful. Honestly, I didn’t appreciate either of their behaviors,” he admitted, showcasing his preference for calm amidst chaos.
When asked which elimination hit the hardest, he immediately named Karan Kundrra, calling him a “genuine person with great potential.” His early exit, in Sudhanshu’s eyes, was a big loss to the game’s balance.
As for the show’s use of harsh language, Sudhanshu was honest with himself too: “I do tend to speak freely, and that’s not always right. I should be more mindful.” It was a refreshing moment of self-awareness that rounded off the interview on a humble note.
From graceful acceptance to subtle truths, Sudhanshu’s take on The Traitors shows a man who played the game with strategy, integrity, and emotional intelligence, even if he walked away without the trophy.
