The engrossing courtroom show Criminal Justice is set to return, and Ira Nagpal’s actress, Khushi Bharadwaj, has spilled the beans on her experience on the show and her time spent on location with the talented Pankaj Tripathi.
For most young artists, working on screen with a veteran actor like Pankaj Tripathi is a dream come true, and for Khushi, this dream was a goldmine of learnings.Khushi, who played the role of Ira, said the experience was exciting and a tremendous learning curve.
Recalling her experience she stated, “Pankaj sir’s tranquil and earthy presence on set is absolutely remarkable. His keen concentration and patience, hardly ever glancing at his phone, are an epitome of sheer dedication. It was a learning experience in transformation to see his effortless being and learn his tenet of ‘never act—just be.’ Being in the vicinity of his realist approach grounded me in my own work, teaching me the necessity of genuineness in performance.”
To the uninitiated, Khushi Bharadwaj and Pankaj Tripathi’s daughter are students in the same school. Discussing Criminal Justice, the largest learnings for Khushi were watching Pankaj Tripathi’s thorough preparation and the way he was able to add depth to his character. Khushi feels that working on Criminal Justice, and especially with Pankaj Sir, has influenced her immensely as an actor.
