Speaking about the qualities of Shiva that he had to retain while playing Abhimanyu, Gashmeer Mahajani stated, “While playing Abhimanyu, there is an inherent goodness and credibility in Shiva’s character. He’s also gullible and can be fooled. Some people have this inherent goodness; they just see the good in others, they are always givers and not takers, and Shiva is a giver. I had to keep that inherent goodness in mind while playing Abhimanyu. I had to make sure that he didn’t lose that goodness and just become ruthless. Abhimanyu is never ruthless, even though he wants to be, and there are moments in the show where the inherent goodness of Shiva has to be kept alive. That’s his core. So, that is one thing that I retained from Shiva that everyone knows.”
