Vidya Balan and Anu Menon collaborate for the 2nd time after Shakuntala Devi for a mystery thriller titled ‘Neeyat’.
Neeyat stars Vidya Balan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast of Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi, Prajakta Koli, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Niki Walia and Danesh Razvi.
The trailer shows us that Mr. Kapoor (Ram Kapoor) attempts a suicide from the top of a cliff. A detective named Mira Rao is assigned to investigate this case, she learns that this is not a suicide but a murder. There are many suspects to the murder in the case.
We come across various characters, their intentions, their thoughts, their grudges, their benefits, etc. The trailer keeps us wanting for more and makes us keep guessing who could be the killer.
The film will surely be a thrilling experience and also gives us major Hollywood vibes from it’s narrative.
Murder mysteries are always a treat to watch if they are well written and well presented. We hope Neeyat also has a lot of exciting things for us in the store.
Vidya Balan’s last theatrical release, Mission Mangal, was released in 2019 and was a big success. Vidya is returning to the big screen after 4 years and we can’t wait to witness her powerful performance. Vidya had 3 releases (Shakuntala Devi, Sherni and Jalsa) after Mission Mangal, but all were released on OTT.
Neeyat is directed by Anu Menon and produced by Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment). The film is all set for a 7th July release.
