Vidya Balan is returning to the big screen after 4 years. Her last theatrical release was Mission Mangal, which was released in 2019.
Mission Mangal was declared a super hit at the Box Office and collected around 200 cr nett at the Box Office. Vidya Balan’s role as scientist was well received by the audience. Mission Mangal had a huge ensemble cast and the leading lady was Vidya Balan.
After Mission Mangal, Vidya Balan had acted in 3 films. Shakuntala Devi (2020), Sherni (2021) and Jalsa (2022).
All these films were released directly on OTT and fans did not get a chance to watch their favorite star on the big screen.
Now finally after 2019, Vidya Balan is coming with Neeyat which is a mystery thriller. Neeyat marks the 2nd collaboration of director Anu Menon and Vidya Balan after Shakuntala Devi.
Vidya Balan plays the role of a detective and fans can’t keep calm to watch their favorite star on the big screen after 4 years.
There was a press conference held in Mumbai, where all the cast of Neeyat was present along with the director and the producer.
Vidya Balan while sharing the excitement of coming to the big screen said, “I think I always feel excited and nervous and I can’t tell the difference at all, it feels all the same a few days before release. I like the fact that people have expectations from this film and from me, I am very grateful for that. I am very hopeful that everyone will enjoy it.”
She also added by saying, “However, there is a lot of excitement because my last outing in theaters was Mission Mangal which did very well and fingers crossed that people will come to the theaters and watch Neeyat and love it and maybe watch it again, because you’ll need two. The good thing about promotions is that you don’t get the time to feel the pressure. We get so tired by the end of the day and you don’t get the time to process what you’re feeling. I am looking forward to how everyone receives the film.”
Neeyat stars Vidya Balan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast of Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi, Prajakta Koli, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Niki Walia and Danesh Razvi.
Neeyat is directed by Anu Menon and produced by Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment). The film is all set for a 7th July release.
