Jr NTR has reacted strongly to an AI generated video that has surfaced online, involving his song Chuttamalle with Janhvi Kapoor. The manipulated clip has sparked outrage over the misuse of artificial intelligence to create inappropriate content featuring a woman, raising fresh concerns about the growing problem of digitally altered videos being circulated on social media.
Reacting to the controversial edit, Jr NTR called out those responsible and made it clear that he would pursue legal action against everyone involved in creating and circulating the morphed video. Taking to his X handle, the actor expressed his anger and wrote, “Disgusting, Sick and Shameless.
In a land that worships women as mothers and goddesses, where “Matrudevo Bhava” is not just a phrase but a part of our culture, some people have fallen so low that they are using Al to disrespect a woman in the most degrading way possible. Using Al to create something this vile is shameful beyond words.
To the scumbags behind this morphed
Chuttamalle video, I will not spare any of you. I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and those who are spreading it.
Please do not watch, share or engage with such content. Today it is someone else. Tomorrow, it could be your mother, sister, wife or daughter.
This is a serious issue, and l urge all the state governments and the Government of India to act strongly and bring in strict regulations against the misuse of Al.”
The controversy centres around an altered version of Chuttamalle, the popular track featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor from the Telugu film Devara: Part 1. The original song became widely popular for its visuals and the chemistry between the two actors. However, the AI manipulated version allegedly changes the footage in a way that presents Janhvi in a degrading and inappropriate manner.
The circulation of such digitally manipulated content has once again brought attention to the darker side of AI technology. With increasingly sophisticated tools capable of altering faces, bodies and existing footage, celebrities and other public figures have repeatedly become targets of misleading or sexually suggestive edits that can spread rapidly across social media platforms.
Jr NTR has therefore urged people not to engage with or circulate the video, stressing that sharing such material only contributes to its reach. The actor has also called on state governments and the central government to introduce and enforce stricter measures against the misuse of AI.
His reaction comes at a time when concerns surrounding deepfakes and other forms of manipulated digital content are growing, particularly when such technology is used to target women or create material without their consent.
