Naatu Naatu was nominated in the category of Best Original Song along with APPLAUSE (Tell It like a Woman), HOLD MY HAND (Top Gun: Maverick), LIFT ME UP (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and THIS IS A LIFE
(Everything Everywhere All at Once).

Naatu Naatu is the 1st Indian Song to get a nomination in Best Original Song Category in the Oscars and it created history. This is a proud moment for our country and Indian Cinema.

While receiving the award MM Keeravani said, “Thank you Academy, I grew up listening to the carpenters and now here I am with the Oscars.”

He further added by singing, “There was only one wish on my sing, so was Rajamouli’s and my family’s RRR has to win pride of every Indian and must put me on the top of the world.”

At the end he concluded by saying, “Thank You Karthikeya and Variance Films for making this possible. Love You All. Thank You.” At the end lyricist Chandrabose said, “Namaste”.

Music of Naatu Naatu is composed by MM Keeravani and Lyrics are written by Chandrabose. The song is sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

RRR is a Telugu language epic action periodic drama. It is directed by SS Rajamouli and written by his father Vijayendra Prasad (Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame). It’s the 3rd Highest Grossing Indian Film of All Time.

Earlier this year, Naatu Naatu won Best Original Song Award at Golden Globe Awards, making it the 1st Asian Film to get an award.

India had got 3 nominations in the Oscars this year. Out of 3 Indian won 2 Awards.
