Actor Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly been hospitalized due to dengue fever, just weeks before the release of his highly anticipated action thriller, Kingdom. Fans are worried, especially with the film set to premiere on July 31, 2025. Sources close to the actor confirmed that Vijay is getting treatment at a hospital in Mumbai, where his family has been by his side during his recovery. Although his condition is stable, doctors have advised him to rest completely until he fully recovers.

Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is one of Vijay Deverakonda’s most ambitious projects. The film is an action-packed spy thriller that explores the post-independence Sinhala-Tamil conflict and refugee crisis. It features a gripping story set against a historical backdrop. Co-stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev join Vijay in a film made on a large scale, with a budget of around ₹100 crore. Although there have been several delays, first scheduled for release on May 30 and then July 4, the film’s release is now confirmed for July 31.

Due to his illness, Vijay has had to back out of promotional activities for the film, raising concerns among his fans and industry insiders. However, sources close to the production have said that the promotional campaign for Kingdom will continue as planned, even while Vijay concentrates on his health. His management team is hopeful that he will recover in time to take part in key promotional events as the release date approaches.

This hospitalization highlights the physical demands that tough film schedules and public commitments can put on actors. Vijay’s fans have taken to social media to send him wishes for a speedy recovery, eagerly anticipating both his return to health and the release of Kingdom, which has the potential to be a milestone film in his career.
