Zee TV’s newest primetime reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, hosted by Rannvijay Singha, is turning up the heat as it transports viewers to the heart of rural India. With a perfect mix of high-energy drama and heartfelt moments, the show throws 11 glamorous celebrity contestants including Anita Hassanandani, Krishna Shroff, Aishwarya Khare, Rameet Sandhu, Anjuum Faakih, Reha Sukheja, Dolly Javed, Sumukhi Suresh, Surabhi and Samriddhi Mehra (aka Chinki Minki), and Erika Packard straight into gaon life. Trading their luxe city lifestyles for the mud, smoke, and simplicity of the countryside, these divas are learning to churn butter, light chulhas, herd chickens, and tackle rustic daily chores, all while being closely watched by taskmaster Rannvijay.
But things take a wild turn in the upcoming episodes when Anjuum Faakih stuns everyone by nominating Rameet Sandhu in the most shocking way by dumping an entire bucket of gobar (yes, cow dung) on her. The jaw-dropping moment lays bare just how real and raw life in the gaon can get. With no filters and no frills, it’s a harsh reminder of how tough it is to leave behind city comforts and embrace the unpredictable curveballs of rural living.
For Rameet, who’s grown up in Dubai and has had minimal exposure to desi village life, the experience was nothing short of a culture shock. The messy nomination left her shaken, and by the end of Week 1, she was already contemplating quitting the show. Between the emotional chaos and the demanding lifestyle, Rameet found herself struggling to cope.
Sharing her thoughts, Rameet said, “It honestly took me a second to realise what just happened. One minute I’m standing there, and the next thing I know, gobar is all over me. Coming from Dubai, this was unlike anything I’ve ever faced. I expected challenges, but not something this raw and intense. I felt shattered and embarrassed. But I reminded myself that I came here to grow, to push myself beyond the easy life. This discomfort is part of my growth.”
As the season unfolds, Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is shaping up to be an emotional whirlwind packed with tough tasks, dramatic showdowns, and powerful personal breakthroughs. Will Rameet strike back at Anjuum? Or is her gaon journey about to end with an eviction?
