Meri Bhavya Life is the newest addition to the small screen and is a refreshing blend of inspiration and empowerment. The show is produced by Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comall under their banner, Sphereorigins, known for producing several popular dramas on television such as…Katha Ankahee, Pandya Store, Balika Vadhu, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, Gangaa, Mere Angne Mein, Saat Phere, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Peshwa Bajirao, Internet wala Love, to name a few. These shows have garnered a large following and made significant impacts on Indian television.

Meri Bhavya Life revolves around plus-size Bhavya, who wants people to look beyond her size. The recent promos have already made the show the talk of the town, as it deals with the important topic of body shaming, which has so far not been the focal point of any show on the Indian television screen.

Social media has already been abuzz with body shaming and body positivity, and hence the show comes at a very relevant time and stands out because of its strong and relatable storyline.

In the first promo Bhavya gets rejected by a potential groom’s family who asked her to lose weight if she wants to get married. But she gives them a befitting reply that she will not do it just because she has to get married. She then asks the viewers, what is the biggest problem – to be fat or to not be able to look beyond one’s size?

The second promo is when Bhavya meets Rishank, a gym trainer who doesn’t like plus-size people. Bhavya had gone with some designs for the gym; however, he refused to even look at them, calling her unfit for it just because of her size. Bhavya doesn’t hold herself back and tells him that his mindset is unfit and leaves. The narrative is both touching and empowering, drawing viewers in with its authenticity and emotional depth.

Prishaa Dhatiwala plays the lead role of Bhavya in the show and brings her character to life with grace, resilience, and charm. It almost looks like the character was custom made for her. Karan Vohra is seen as Rishank and has gone into the depth of the character like his second skin.

Meri Bhavya Life is a must-watch for those who enjoy meaningful storytelling rooted in everyday strength and real emotion. The show has great potential to become everyone’s favourite because of its powerful storyline, fantastic performances and dealing with the most important topic of body shaming and body positivity, which is the need of the hour. It will air on Colors from 30th April at 7 pm.
