Mumbai, September 17, 2025 – With the festival of Navaratri just around the corner, Sony Entertainment Television is preparing to launch a new mythological series, Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai, bringing viewers a fresh dose of faith and celebration.
The nine-day festival that honors the many forms of Maa Durga begins next week, and the channel’s latest offering aligns perfectly with the spirit of devotion. Centered on the divine story of Maa Vaishno Devi, the show promises to deepen the festive mood for audiences across the country.
“Navaratri is a time when the entire nation turns to worship and reflection. This show is designed to add another layer of reverence,” said a Sony spokesperson. The network expects the series to resonate with viewers in the same way that Mahavatar Narsimha did during Krishna Janmashtami.
Actor Avinesh Rekhi, who plays the role of Sagar Singh Lodhi, described the part as both inspiring and rewarding.
“Sagar is a courageous soldier devoted to his country and family. After portraying many intense roles, this character allows me to explore themes of faith and devotion. It’s also my first time playing a Subhedar, which is exciting for me and my audience,” he shared.
Produced by One Life Studios and created by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai follows the journey of a young girl named Maniki, portrayed by Payoja Shrivastava, whose unwavering faith in Maa Durga becomes the heart of the narrative. The cast also includes Aleya Ghosh, Puneet Vashisht, and others.
Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai premieres 22 September and will air every evening at 8:30 p.m. on Sony Entertainment Television and stream simultaneously on Sony LIV.
