In a dramatic turn, television star Rupali Ganguly, famous for her role in Anupamaa, has won a major step in her ongoing dispute with her stepdaughter Esha Verma. The Bombay High Court has ordered Esha and anyone working with her to stop posting, sharing, or publishing anything harmful about Rupali on social media, news sites, or any other platform.

The judge, Arif S. Doctor, said Esha’s online posts and interviews appeared to be aimed at damaging Rupali’s reputation. He agreed the actress needed urgent protection from further harm until the case is fully heard.

Rupali’s lawyers, Sana Raees Khan and Neha Balani, told the court that these accusations have been made before, even before Anupamaa started in 2020, and they keep coming back. They said the repeated claims have been hurting Rupali’s career and public image for years.

The fight began when Esha accused Rupali of physically and emotionally mistreating her, including claims that Rupali attacked Esha’s mother and influenced legal matters in the family. Esha also repeated old allegations from 2020, saying Rupali had an affair with her father when he was married to her mother, and even accused her of theft and making threats.

Rupali hit back by filing a ₹50 crore defamation case in November 2024, demanding payment for the damage caused to her name. She also filed a criminal case in early 2025, asking for legal punishment for Esha.

When she appeared in court in Andheri, Mumbai, Rupali became emotional while telling her side of the story. She spoke about the pain the accusations had caused her and her family, especially her young son, who she says was unfairly dragged into the matter.

With the latest court order, Esha is now officially stopped from making or repeating these public allegations, at least until the next hearing on February 17, 2025.

This family dispute has now become a public drama, with viewers and fans watching closely to see how it will end. The case is not over yet, but for now, Rupali has the court’s protection while the bigger legal battle continues.
