COLORS’ much-awaited reality show ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check’ has already begun to create waves online, thanks to its power-packed celebrity lineup and heartwarming, real-life love stories. Among the seven star couples stepping into the spotlight is Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal, a duo whose bond has stood the test of time, and trials.
In the grand premiere episode, hosted by Bollywood icon Sonali Bendre and co-hosted by fan-favourite comedian Munawar Faruqui, Hina and Rocky shared their deeply personal journey, from an unexpected beginning to an unbreakable partnership. And yes, their story started in classic enemies-to-lovers style.
Hina recalled meeting Rocky on the sets of her debut show. At that time, she was completely focused on building her career, and love wasn’t even on the horizon. In fact, her first impression of Rocky wasn’t exactly favorable. But slowly, things began to shift. Conversations flowed, friendship bloomed, and then came that hug, the quiet, unforgettable moment that changed everything. There was no grand proposal, no cinematic declarations, just a feeling that they both knew couldn’t be denied.
But real love stories are written in how two people show up for each other when life gets difficult. And for Hina and Rocky, that moment came when she was diagnosed with cancer. What followed was a test not just of health, but of love, resilience, and commitment.Rocky, reflecting on Hina’s journey, shared emotionally “If I could take her pain and make it mine, I would have done it in a second. But that’s not possible, so I did the only thing I could: be there for her. For me, that was never a big thing. I love her, and being there for her was the easiest decision of my life… Even as a partner, you have limitations. You sit beside them, you hold their hand, but the battle was hers. Every day brings a new challenge, and every day they fight it with a courage that humbles you… In sickness or in health, in pain or in love, in despair or in hope, it’s only ever about her happiness and well-being.”
Hina, equally candid and heartfelt, shared her side of their love story: “I met Rocky more than a decade ago, but it still feels like it was only yesterday… Slowly, we started talking, and before we knew it, we were friends… Then one day, there was this hug…and it just felt different. That was the moment we knew… Life tested us in ways I never imagined. And through all of it, Rocky never left my side. He put everything — his work, his own health, his peace — behind just to make sure I was okay… Most people walk away when things get hard, but he didn’t.”
Their bond, built on compassion, quiet support, and unwavering loyalty, stood out during the premiere, showing fans that true love isn’t always about grand gestures, but about being present when it matters most.
