Zee TV’s upcoming fiction drama Jagadhatri is set to be a powerful ode to women who fight silent battles every day, unseen, unheard, yet unbreakable. The story follows a young woman who remains invisible in her own household but transforms into a fearless undercover agent, determined to fight crime and reclaim her lost identity.
Leading the show is Sonakshi Batra as Jagadhatri, joined by Farman Haider as Shivay and an ensemble of strong performers. Adding even more depth to the cast is the talented Sayantani Ghosh, who steps into the role of Maya, a commanding media mogul whose strength, influence, and discipline define her public persona, even as she quietly bears her inner struggles.
What makes Sayantani’s portrayal all the more remarkable is her dedication to her craft. Despite suffering a fractured foot, the actress continues to shoot for the show with unwavering commitment and positivity. Her perseverance perfectly mirrors the resilience and courage that Jagadhatri stands for, proving that true strength lies not in avoiding challenges but in rising above them.
Sayantani Ghosh shared,
“Playing Maya in Jagadhatri is both a privilege and a challenge because she is such a layered character, fierce, disciplined, and yet silently vulnerable. Unfortunately, I fractured my foot recently, but as they say, the show must go on. I didn’t want this setback to come in the way of my craft or my commitment to the audience. The production team and channel have been incredibly supportive, ensuring all safety measures are taken on set, from arranging wheelchairs and modifying scenes to minimize movement, to constantly checking on my comfort. My co-actors and crew have been equally considerate, helping me perform without strain while maintaining the emotional intensity of every scene. Their encouragement gives me the strength to give my best every single day. As an actor, I truly believe that passion and perseverance are what keep us going, no matter the obstacle.”
With Sonakshi Batra, Farman Haider, and Sayantani Ghosh leading the charge, Jagadhatri, produced by Rahul Tewary Productions, promises a gripping narrative that celebrates women who refuse to be silenced or sidelined.
