Carrying forward its tradition of bold, heartfelt storytelling, COLORS brings to screens Binddii, a moving saga of love, loss, and unbreakable family bonds. Premiering 17 September at 8:30 PM, the show stars Radhika Muthukumar as Kajal, Sanchi Bhoyar as Binddii, Krushal Ahuja as Aviraj, and Manav Gohil as Dayanand, weaving a narrative where a mother’s affection turns prison walls into a haven of hope.
Born and raised inside a jail in Mathura, young Binddii knows only her mother’s gentle warmth. Kajal’s love has made a cold cell feel like home. But their fragile world shatters when the authorities send Binddii out, separating her from the only family she has ever known. Alone in a chaotic outside world, she soon uncovers a bitter truth: her father Aviraj deceived Kajal and plotted with the ruthless mafia kingpin Dayanand for greed and power. Determined to seek justice, Binddii resolves to educate herself and one day free her mother, even as Aviraj and Dayanand scheme to keep their secrets buried.
Radhika Muthukumar, who plays Kajal, shares, “Kajal once belonged to a simple, loving household, yet now lives behind bars for a crime she never committed. Her daughter is her only light. Imagine a mother creating a universe of love inside prison so her child never feels the weight of chains. Beyond those walls lies a world far harsher than prison itself, ruled by men like Aviraj and Dayanand. Portraying Kajal reminds me that a mother’s love can survive even the darkest corners.”
Taking on the title role, Sanchi Bhoyar says, “Binddii’s life revolves around her mother. Forced apart, she chooses courage over bitterness. Playing a child who fights with kindness to bring her mother home is a challenge and an honour for me.”
As Aviraj, Krushal Ahuja remarks, “My character feels no remorse as he conspires with Dayanand for money. He’s dangerous because he believes he’s justified. This is my first negative role and I’m excited to explore such complexity.”
Portraying the menacing Dayanand, Manav Gohil adds, “Dayanand thrives on corruption and control. He’s calculated, chilling, and convinced his actions are right. Bringing such a dark character to life is both daunting and rewarding.”
