Gadar 2 and OMG 2 have created havoc at the Domestic Box office.
This is till date the biggest Independence clash which Bollywood has ever witnessed.
Gadar 2 had an immense buzz and the collections which the films have raked in are insane. The film is a riot at the mass centers and is in no mood to slow down. The brand value, Sunny Deol’s electrifying screen presence, music, action, nostalgia, etc. has given a boost in the collections. Gadar 2 has brought the old Gadar days back when people had gone bonkers.
Sunny Deol with his hammer has smashed the Box Office. The film has exploded like a bomb at the Box Office.
Sunny Deol has become the 1st Bollywood star above the age of 65 to register such insane collections.
Gadar 2 opened at 40.10 cr at the Box Office and registered the highest opening day on a non-holiday while facing a clash. The film collected 43.08 cr on its 2nd day. The film registered its highest single day on Sunday by collecting 51.70 cr. The opening weekend collections of the film stands at 134.88 cr.
Gadar 2 has the 2nd highest opening weekend collection for any Bollywood film after Pathaan.
SRK starrer Pathaan collected 161 cr in its first 3 days. The film collected 271 cr in its 5 days extended opening weekend.
Gadar 2 has surpassed Sanju’s opening weekend collections of 120.06 cr.
OMG 2 on the other hand has stood tall against mighty Gadar 2. OMG 2 collected double digits on its opening day. The film collected 10.26 cr on day 1, 15.30 cr on day and 17.55 on day 3. The opening weekend collections of OMG 2 are in the range of 43.11 cr.
By looking at the bold content of OMG 2, the opening weekend collection numbers are very impressive. The film got an ‘A’ certificate from the Censor Board. The film deals with the subject of sex education.
OMG 2 got a boost in its collections due to the brand value of OMG and Akshay Kumar’s screen presence. The film has been accepted by the audience.
OMG was a Super-Hit at the Box Office and OMG 2 has also emerged as a success at the Box Office. The film will easily touch 100 cr mark in coming days.
Both the films have emerged successful in the clash.
Gadar 2 is all set to enter the 300 cr club in coming days.
Gadar also faced a clash at the Box Office with Aamir Khan’s Lagaan. Gadar not only became an All Time Blockbuster but also emerged as an All Time Grosser. Gadar is till date the biggest hit of this millennium in terms of footfalls.
The combined weekend collections of Gadar 2 (134.88 cr) and OMG 2 (43.11cr) are in the range of 177.99, which makes it the highest 3 day weekend for Bollywood till date.
The good old days are back and it’s a celebration time for all of us. Cinema owners and distributors have rejoiced by looking at the insane collections.
Gadar 2 is all set to collect in the range of 28-30 cr today and OMG 2 is all set to collect 9-10 cr today. Another huge day is on the cards. Tomorrow both the films will see an insane collection as they will enjoy the benefits of Independence Day.
We can see both the films together touching 65 cr+ mark tomorrow. Gadar 2 may register its 2nd 50 cr single day collection and can also surpass Sunday collections. OMG 2 can also register its single highest day collection surpassing the sunday figures of 17.55 cr.
