Priya Mani came into the limelight with Chennai Express. She had only appeared in a dance number shaking a leg with Shah Rukh Khan.
The success of Chennai Express and popularity of Shah Rukh Khan helped Priya Mani to gain soke attention amongst Bollywood movie watching audience. One Two Three Four song became an instant chartbuster.
After working with SRK in Chennai Express in 2013, Priya Mani got a chance to work with King Khan once again after a decade in 2023. Priya Mani played a brief role in Jawan, which emerged as the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. Priya Mani has now established herself in Bollywood.
There are many actors who die to work with SRK, and then there is Priya Mani who has shared screen as well as shaked a leg with SRK. Priya Mani’s character received good amount of recognition.
We at Film Window got a chance to do an exclusive interview with Priya Mani, where she spoke about Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan and Chennai Express.
Q] How was your experience while working with Shah Rukh Khan?
Ans – Shah Rukh Khan is such a sweet person. I have done 1 full length film Jawan with him and I was a part of one song in Chennai Express. He makes you feel so comfortable on the set. Even if he doesn’t know you, he will come and ask how are you doing and will make you feel comfortable with his talks itself. We shot around 5 days for Chennai Express and those 5 days passed very quickly. He is so dedicated and hard working. He is very passionate for his work. During Jawan, we had one on one scene and at that time I realized that he is very thorough and knows the whole script by heart. He not only knows his dialogues, but also knows dialogues of the other actors. He is so respectful towards everyone, be it any age group or any gender. He treats everyone equally. His level of patience is very high. When we girls were having dinner during Jawan, there were 3 girls who were fairly new compared to Sanya, myself and Girija. Those girls had asked some questions to him, which were not only related to films, but also had some other things and he used to answer all of them in a proper manner. I don’t have enough words for him, I can go on and on praising him. I wish him good health, lots of prosperity and happiness always.
