Jawan is SRK’s most massiest film till date. SRK performed stylish action in Pathaan and delivered an all time grosser. SRK never got a chance to do an out and out desi masala action entertainer in his career. Thanks to Atlee for presenting SRK in a never seen before massy avatar in Jawan. Jawan is SRK’S biggest mass treat to all his fans and mass lovers. The craving and search for a perfect masala entertainer ends with Jawan. Jawan is a complete package with all the possible ingredients added in it. Jawan is surely going to be a memorable mass film in SRK’s filmography.

Azad (Shah Rukh Khan) is a prison officer at a women’s prison who has a purpose to clear the name of his soldier-father Vikram Rathore (Shah Rukh Khan) and keeping a promise made to his mother Aishwarya (Deepika Padukone) to become a vigilante and bring justice to the oppressed. Azad and his gang of women consisting of Lakshmi (Priya Mani), Eeram (Sanya Malhotra), Ishkra (Girija Oak), Kalki, Helena and Janhvi; continuously works towards justice for the nation’s citizens, where they face challenges from senior cop and Azad’s love interest Narmada Rai (Nayanthara) and a global weapons dealer Kaali (Vijay Sethupathi).

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the greatest actors ever born in World Cinema. He can play any role with perfection. Jawan is not an acting oriented film, still SRK manages to charm us with his unmatchable acting skills. SRK has many variations and layers in Jawan. He has nailed all the different looks like a king. SRK as Vikram Rathore is unbeatable in terms of swag and attitude. SRK is a beast while performing action sequences. Atlee has presented SRK in a larger than life character. SRK is pure mass. SRK owns Jawan like a boss. Vijay Sethupathi is deadly and dangerous as villain. Vijay Sethupathi is an emerging legend and he fits into each and every role. The epic face off between Vijay Sethupathi and SRK is one of the major highlights of Jawan. Nayanthara looks amazing in her Bollywood debut. She is amazing in action sequences. The chemistry between SRK and Nayanthara is lovable. Deepika Padukone is top-notch in her special appearance. SRK and Deepika never fail to amaze audiences with their lovely chemistry, and they do the same with Jawan. Deepika has an impactful role, which she portrays with ease. Supporting cast of Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Girija Oak is splendid. Sanjay Dutt surprises everyone with his wonderful cameo.

The dialogue from Jawan where SRK says, “Jab main villain banta hoon naa, toh mere saamne koi bhi hero tik nahi sakta”, perfectly suits SRK. Jab SRK comeback karta hai naa, toh uske saamne koi bhi hero tik nahi sakta.

Dialogues are pure mass. Dialogues are all set to make you clap, whistle and cheer to the loudest. “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar”, is sure to make you go crazy over SRK.

Jawan follows the same regular old story and it’s no less than a mash-up of Atlee’s 3 masala films (Theri, Mersal and Bigil). Atlee does no different in Jawan and keeps things standardized. Atlee brings all the mass cinema together in Jawan which we have been watching since the 1970s till date. Atlee plays safe by following the same route of adding a dose of patriotism and emotion along with entertainment. The emotional and patriotic angle is perfectly presented in Jawan.

The best thing about Jawan is that it doesn’t slow down anywhere. Jawan follows the same old typical film-making style but stays Jawan (young) in terms of execution and presentation. Jawan justifies its title and runs like a runner in terms of screenplay. The screenplay is so fast-paced that it doesn’t give you much chance to think about the flaws.

Atlee has beautifully blended emotions, patriotism, action, romance, drama and comedy in Jawan. Nothing seems to be forced in Jawan unlike Atlee’s other films. There have been many social messages given in the film, which hit you hard. The film also raises a question on corruption going on in our system. The film scores high in social message, emotions and patriotism.

Anirudh disappoints with songs but scores high with BGM. The BGM of Jawan is electrifying and powerful. The BGM stays with you and keeps playing in your head. BGM is used at perfect places where it is required.

Editing of Jawan is good, but could have been more crispier. Cinematography, VFX, choreography, etc. is top notch.

A masala action entertainer has certain limitations in terms of quality and it cannot go past that. Jawan is a masala film which should be enjoyed without thinking much about the content.

Jawan was never meant to be a content oriented film, it should be watched to celebrate Shah Rukh Khan who is one of the greatest actors. Jawan has many flaws, but that can be overlooked. Atlee never rushes things with Jawan.

Jawan is Atlee’s best film till date. Atlee had made craps and mediocre cheap films in the South. The taste of South Indian audience and Bollywood audience is completely different. Atlee has changed himself and adapted accordingly to Bollywood with Jawan. Atlee’s filmmaking never goes on low-level or seems to be downgraded. The film-making style is regular but conviction is powerful.

Jawan is a typical South masala action entertainer. Hindi movie watching audiences who love to watch dubbed south films, have finally got something original with Jawan. Atlee got a wider opportunity with Jawan, and he has been excellent in grabbing it with both hands. Atlee has truly made a Pan-India film which will soon become a nationwide sensation.

Jawan is very predictable as it doesn’t offer anything new. Although being predictable, Jawan is very much enjoyable as it doesn’t make you feel bored even for a second. Jawan goes one step higher than Pathaan in terms of quality.

Jawan is that film which every actor dreams of having in his filmography. Aamir Khan had Ghajini, Salman Khan had Dabangg, Ajay Devgn had Singham, Akshay Kumar had Rowdy Rathore and now SRK finally has Jawan.

Overall Jawan is a complete mass bonanza which should be watched by every mass lover. SRK has fulfilled his fans’ wish by coming in an out and out desi masala entertainer. Jawan is a film which can be enjoyed by every age group. Jawan deserves all your attention as our search and craving for a perfect masala entertainer ends with Jawan. SRK fans (including me) will be forever grateful to Atlee for presenting SRK in such a character full of mass and class. Jawan has proved to be a landmark mass film in SRK’s career. A pure mass film which should not be missed at any cost. Strongly recommended.
