Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, known for redefining Bollywood romance with classics like the Aashiqui series, is back with a new tale of passion and ambition. Bhatt unveiled the trailer of Tu Meri Poori Kahani, directed by his protégé Suhrita Das, and the first glimpse is already stirring buzz for its music, drama, and promising newcomers.

Positioned as a spiritual follow-up to Aashiqui 2, the film explores the tug-of-war between love and fame with Bhatt’s trademark emotional intensity. It pairs debut actors Hirranya Ojha and Arhaan Pateel, whose onscreen spark drives the trailer’s charged atmosphere.

Music, a signature of any Bhatt romance, plays a central role again. Composer Anu Malik delivers a soundtrack built on soaring melodies of longing and heartbreak. Speaking about their long creative partnership, Malik recalled Bhatt’s instinctive approach: “He called me and said, ‘I have something in my mind, come over.’ He hugged me and said, ‘This is the story.’”

Bhatt praised both Malik and director Das for their hunger and commitment, saying he seeks artists “who carry both thirst and passion, even amidst challenges.” Das described the process as a space where music and storytelling flowed freely without hesitation.

The trailer teases a sweeping narrative of love tested by ambition—intense, lyrical, and unmistakably Bhatt. With its mix of fresh talent and timeless themes, Tu Meri Poori Kahani aims to linger long after the credits roll.
