Tarla marks the directorial debut of Piyush Gupta. Piyush Gupta has served as a writer in wonderful films like Bhootnath Returns, Dangal and Chhichhore. Piyush Gupta has worked with Nitesh Tiwari in all these 3 films and his directorial skills can be seen in Tarla. Tarla is a delicious dish for both men and women. 

Nowadays there are many biopics being made in Bollywood, but they fail to attract viewers. In the last 3 to 4 years the majority of biopics have been disappointing quality wise. The makers of Tarla have cracked the correct recipe for a biopic and served us a delicious dish. Craving for good cinema ends with Tarla. 

Huma Qureshi steps into the shoes of Tarla Dalal and nails her role. Tarla is her career best performance. Tarla Dalal changed the perspective of many people in the society. 

Tarla is not only about cooking but it is also about women empowerment, importance of women in a family, importance of women in society, a moving and inspiring tale of a housewife. Tarla will motivate and inspire you to do something big in life. 

We have always been hearing that, Behind every successful man there is a woman. Tarla shows us that, Behind every successful woman there is a man. Tarla has many scenes which are thought provoking and will inspire you. 

Tarla wants to do something in life, but she keeps on saying, ‘Mereko kuch karna hai life mei lekin pata nahi kya karna hai’. Tarla makes you believe that unplanned and unexpected things sometimes take you to a different level in your life. 

Tarla also makes us believe that, ‘Kuch karne ki expiry date nahi hoti’. Tarla gives a solid message of how important it is to get support from your partner.

Performance wise, Huma Qureshi is unbeatable. Huma has never been offered such a great role in her career which can prove her acting skills to this extent. Huma Qureshi nails the look and accent like a boss lady. She has lived the character of Tarla Dalal. Sharib Hashmi is giving so many back to back memorable performances and winning our hearts. His role as Tarla’s husband as Nalin will be remembered by each and everyone in the society who watches this film. Huma Qureshi and Sharib Hashmi seem like an unusual pair, but the makers made it look like the best pair with their wonderful writing. The supporting cast is brilliant.

Tarla is beautifully directed by Piyush Gupta. Some scenes are full of intelligence. Piyush Gupta should direct more films in future.  

Writing of Tarla is fine and has all the ingredients of a proper biopic. It follows the perfect recipe of all the elements required in a biopic with cinematic liberties. 

Tarla has some scenes which seem to be mediocre and hurt the intellectual narrative. But the films move on and you don’t care about them much. Tarla is like a dish where you forgot to add some ingredients, and still end up serving a good dish.

Nitesh Tiwari, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Piyush Gupta have made many thoughtful films on society and Tarla is another addition in their filmography. They have made a film which can change the perception of society. The emotions of the cook are reflected in the food and the same applies here, the hard work of makers is reflected on the final product. The makers have made this film with a lot of emotion and it is clearly visible.

Tarla is another good film by Zee5 after Manoj Bajpayee’s Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.

Tarla is going to touch the hearts of the viewers of each and every age group. The film has a timeless and universal message. Tarla is a beautiful film with many thought provoking messages. Watch Tarla for Piyush Gupta’s direction and Huma Qureshi and Sharib Hashmi’s performance. Makers have served us with a delicious film which will satisfy our hunger for a good film. Tarla is a film which needs to be taste once.
