Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the emerging directors from Tamil Cinema. His films Maanagaram, Kaithi and Vikram were solid entertainers. The film-making style of Lokesh is extremely brilliant and gives pleasure to eyes.

Leo is another feather in the cap of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Leo is a celebration for all the fans of Thalapathy Vijay and mass lovers out there.

Leo has its celebration moments in parts, but works well whenever they appear on-screen. Overall Leo provides a satisfying experience to the viewers, which is all that matters.

Performance wise Thalapathy Vijay is a complete beast. This is a tailor made role for him and sets fire on-screen with his fabulous performance. He brings various shades to his characters which keeps the audience hooked throughout. He is bloody sweet as Leo/Parthiban. Sanjay Dutt does not need to do any kind of heavy make-up to look like a villain, his powerful voice and killer expressions are enough to scare you. Sanjay Dutt excels in his short role and is very dangerous. His eyes do the speaking. Arjun Sarja is deadly and evil. No one else could have portrayed this part better than him. Trisha looks very beautiful whenever she appears on-screen. She doesn’t fail to amaze us with her magical screen presence. Gautham Vasudev Menon is a wonderful actor and shines with his talent in Leo. The supporting cast is amazing. Kamal Haasan fans are in for a huge treat.

Thalapathy Vijay is a mass hero. His swag, attitude, style, personality, dance moves and everything else is top notch. Lokesh Kanagaraj has presented Thalapathy Vijay in the exact way which every fan dreams to see their star in a mass film. The character of Thalapathy Vijay is bold, brave, fierce and strong.

Leo is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Lokesh deserves a huge round of applause for creating something huge and bringing big superstars on board. Kudos to Lokesh for making Tamil Cinema reach greater heights.

The script of Leo is smartly written and can amaze masses. A hard-core movie lover will find it predictable, but won’t hate the show.

There is a big difference in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction and other directors who make mass films. The magic created by Lokesh is clearly visible on-screen.

Lokesh is a director who presents his scenes in a sensible way and does not follow the regular path. The action scenes are well designed and don’t seem to be cheap and over the top. The cinematography, framework and visual effects are good.

The action sequences in Vijay’s films have always been over the top which has pleased only the B and C center audiences. The action in Leo is well choreographed and will be enjoyed by everyone. The action is high octane and lavish. Lokesh has given a royal treatment to this average writing, hence the overall product turns out to be a decent watch.

Anirudh is a Rockstar and his BGM is electrifying. The theme of Leo gives goosebumps and is properly used in the film.

Leo is a solid treat for mass lovers who enjoy watching out and out masala action entertainers. Leo has a lot in store for the masses from the very first scene.

The best thing about Leo is that it doesn’t bore you even for a second. The screenplay is fast paced and engaging. The long duration of 164 minutes is not at all a problem.

Leo has a proper amount of thrills in writing which will make the masses go crazy. Leo has many whistle worthy and clap worthy scenes. The dialogues are full of mass.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master was a strictly average film. Lokesh has improvised and has delivered a better film than Master. Master was unnecessarily dragged and was a big let down. Leo, despite being repetitive at parts, doesn’t seem to be much dragged.

Leo struggles in keeping the magic intact throughout. The film sometimes feels scattered. Leo gives happiness and satisfaction, but in bits and pieces.

Nevertheless, Leo is another satisfying masala film in Indian Cinema after Jawan. The hunger and craving for an out and out mass film after Jawan ends with Leo.

Leo is definitely a one time watch film which can be enjoyed for its action sequences, lavish scale, royal direction and Thalapathy Vijay. Leo is a celebration and a gift by Lokesh Kanagaraj to all the fans of Thalapathy Vijay. Let’s dive into the world of Lokesh Kanagaraj with Leo. A decent flick which deserves your attention at least once.
