Bloody Daddy is the first out and out action film of Shahid Kapoor. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who has made good flicks like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, etc. This film was designed for OTT, and we could see the worst level treatment given to the product. Ali Abbas Zafar has given 2 back to back disappointing films in the form of Bharat and Jogi. He also made a crap series titled ‘Tandav’ for Amazon Prime. If we talk about all his projects, Bloody Daddy is his 4th disappointment in a row. The film was looking no good from the trailer itself. The short review of Bloody Daddy is Bloody Crap, Bloody Shit, Bloody Mess, Bloody Bad, etc.

Bloody Daddy is a story set that takes place on one particular night. Police Officer Sumair (Shahid Kapoor) plans to steal a bag full of cocaine with his colleague, only to learn that the cocaine is actually owned by nightclub owner and drug dealer Sikander (Ronit Bose Roy). Sikander kidnaps Sumair’s son and demands to return the cocaine in exchange for his son’s safety. After finalizing the deal, Sumair finds that his cocaine has vanished. Sikander has to give the stuff to Hameed (Sanjay Kapoor), as he has already paid him the advance amount. Sumair’s hunt to find the drugs is interrupted by two of his colleagues, Sameer (Rajeev Khandelwal) and Aditi (Diana Penty), who doubt Sumair as a drug dealer. Sunair sets out to form an alternate plan to save his son from Sikander and finds a different challenge on each and every step. Will Sumair succeed in saving his son? Who will win in this cat and mouse game? To find out all the answers, watch the film.

Bloody Daddy is a simple copy-paste of the French Film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night), which was released in 2011. Ali Abbas didn’t bother much about adding something new or doing something new. I don’t understand how directors shamelessly copy frame to frame scenes. Some directors don’t even spare the action sequences. There can be changes done in the action sequences at least.

Ali Abbas has created a total mess, which will give you a complete headache. The film doesn’t have a single thing to hold your attention. The film fails in each and every department, be it direction, writing, editing, cinematography, action, music, screenplay, etc.

Shahid Kapoor tries too hard to be Bloody Awesome, but the script fails to use his potential and talent to the greater extent. Shahid Kapoor is bloody good in some scenes and bloody bad in some. He is good in action scenes, though, and would love to see him in more action films in the future with good scripts. This is a tailor-made role for Ronit Bose Roy and nails his role like a boss. But the film won’t let people remember his performance for a long time. Sanjay Kapoor has done many such roles and excels in his part as a Baddie. Diana Penty doesn’t try to act at all. The script was already bad, and she could have lifted up her performance but didn’t do so. There’s a competition between Diana Penty’s performance and the film, about who is more bad. Rajeev Khandelwal is totally wasted, and writers need to be bashed here. Ronit Bose Roy and Sanjay Kapoor are Bloody Good in their respective roles. Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal are Bloody Bad, and script has to be blamed here. Vivan Bhathena is somewhat okay. The rest of the cast is average.

The biggest question is, was there a need to remake Nuit Blanche? Just for the sake of making something, you will make anything? The film could have pleased the French audience, but the audience in Bollywood is different. Makers should have understood this. Bloody Daddy is scattered all the way. The film just keeps on losing its track in each and every scene. Some necessary changes could have made this one a decent flick.

The film tries to tell the bonding between a son and a father in the backdrop of action but lacks that emotional punch. We recently had Bholaa, where the same emotional touch was missing. Rocky Handsome (not based on a child and father relationship) also had the same problem of lacking emotional factors. Bloody Daddy doesn’t score either in emotions, or story, nothing. The screenplay doesn’t have a proper connection, and the story just goes on and on.

90% of the films that are directly released on OTT are craps or average at the best. The OTT content has been a big disappointment in the last few years where the makers keep on dumping any kind of shit they want on OTT platforms. The last once in a blue moon good film released on OTT was Monica O My Darling. There is a huge competition of making a lost number of crap films and series between the OTT platforms like Jio Cinema, Zee5, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sony Liv, etc.

Jio Cinema has joined the elite list of serving crap and shitty content. Every week, we see a new crap film coming from Jio Cinema, which remains unnoticed. Jio Cinema has many crap films in their pipeline that are gearing up for a release. It seems that Jio Cinema is going to make a record by the year end of serving the highest number of craps by an OTT platform.

Overall, Bloody Daddy should be missed at any cost. The film is available for free on Jio Cinema, but skip it to save your valuable time. Bloody Daddy is a big mess and a shitty remake. Had better hopes from the duo of Shahid Kapoor and Ali Abbas Zafar, but it ended up with a big disappointment. Bloody Daddy has just raised the tension for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Hope Ali has made a decent film with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Shahid Kapoor had a promising debut on OTT with Farzi, but Bloody Daddy just bloody spoiled it. Bloody Daddy is that garbage that is dumped on the OTT platform just like other craps. Bloody Daddy is Bloody Crap, Bloody Shit, Bloody Mess, and whatnot. Bloody Bad Daddy! Bloody, skip it!

Rating – 2/5*
