Priya Mani has now become a popular face in Bollywood. Before The Family Man, she had appeared in films like Raavan and Rakhta Charitra 2, where she had a very small role.
In 2019, she appeared as a female lead in Prime Video’s web series The Family Man. She got a chance to work opposite Manoj Bajpayee and portrayed the role of her on-screen wife.
Priya Mani became very popular after The Family Man. She got a lot of work offers in Bollywood after her amazing portrayal in The Family Man. Her portrayal as Suchi was widely appreciated and stayed with the audience. The Family Man has turned out to be a game changer project for Priya Mani.
After The Family Man, she appeared in Hindi films like Jawan, Maidaan, Article 370 and Salaam Venky. Priya Mani has now also established herself in Bollywood industry along with South industry.
We at Film Window got a chance to do an exclusive interview with Priya Mani. We asked her about The Family Man and Manoj Bajpayee, so have a look below to see what has to say about it.
Q] How has been your experience while working with Manoj Bajpayee?
Priya Mani – “You need to be very careful when Manoj sir is on the set. Not saying this because he is a prankster, but you need to be very alert whenever he is on the sets. Whatever dialogues we rehearse and what is there originally is different. 99% is the same but he improvises them. We are like that this is the end line, but Manoj sir will definitely add something to it and even we need to add something accordingly. Half of the lines which you see are improvised. Raj sir and DK sir do not say cut till they feel it’s stretched a lot, if they feel that improvisation works for the particular scene, they will continue it. So, with Manoj sir you always have to be alert.”
Priya Mani has worked with Manoj Bajpayee on 2 seasons of The Family Man. This has become a cult show and enjoys a lot of fan following. Season 3 of The Family Man is in the scripting stage and will be released soon.
