Hombale Films have given biggest hits in the Kannada Film Industry. KGF, KGF 2 and Kantara turned out to be game changing films for Kannada Cinema and were globally recognized. These films took Kannada Cinema to the next level.
Dhoomam marks the debut of Hombale Films in Malayalam Cinema. The film is an edge of the seat thriller. Dhoomam stars the powerful actor and emerging legend Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
Fahad Faasil has delivered many classics in Indian Cinema like Take Off (2017), Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), Kumbalangi Nights (2019) and Super Deluxe (2019). He has also been a part of many good films like Bangalore Days (2014), Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), C U Soon (2020), Malik (2021), Vikram (2022), Malayankunju (2022), etc. He was also seen opposite Allu Arjun in Pushpa.
FaFa doesn’t disappoint with her performance and the Dhoomam trailer proves it again. The trailer starts with Fahadh telling his superiors about ads related to smoking and cancer shown before a movie in theaters. He tells them what if we make an advertisement in such a way that people like to see it. The trailer further shows the character of FaFa and his greed and dream of becoming a wealthy man. The trailer has thrilling and gripping moments where we can see Fahadh getting involved in illegal activities such as kidnapping. The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot.
The film marks Fahadh’s 2nd collaboration with Aparna Balamurali after Maheshinte Prathikaaram and 2nd collaboration with Roshan Mathew after C U Soon.
The film is directed by Pawan Kumar who gave us a mind boggling psychological thriller Kannada film Lucia (2013) and a superb supernatural thriller U Turn (2016).
The expectations from the film are very high, as the names associated with the film are of Fahadh Faasil and Director Pawan Kumar.
The film is all set to release on 23rd June in cinemas. The film originally shot in Malayalam is dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada for a Pan-India release.
