Sometimes we think animation is an easy job but it’s not. You have to take care of characters, effects and everything else to which people can connect easily and can accept. There is a large scope in animation to deliver better than a live action. The animated world is really eye-pleasing and the way the story revolves just makes things better. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has taken care of each and every aspect in animation and has delivered a fulfilling ride. The only thing is that we were already aware of and were introduced to the Spider Verse, the excitement to see something new is not that high but here the Spider Verse has grown larger and bigger and this makes us excited and go wow.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has a reference of Mumbai (Mumbattan) where we have a Spider-Man from Mumbai named Pavitra Prabhakar (Cricketer Shubman Gill has dubbed his voice for this character in Hindi). The entire Mumbattan scene is whistle worthy and clap worthy. There are many such scenes which will make you scream the loudest. The film also has some references which would make you feel nostalgic.
The voice cast is superb. The direction team has done a fabulous job and the screenplay is fast paced and thoroughly entertaining. The writing is outstanding. It’s not an easy task to deliver back to back outstanding stuff and that too which is full of complexity. The best part is the film matching the level of the prequel. The way the team has designed and pulled off this film is really praiseworthy.
The best thing about animation is you can show and create anything because it’s an animated world and no one would object. No one finds any kind of logic in animation. Animated characters can do anything. The reason why Spider-Man animated films are better than the live action Spider-Man films is animation. The things shown in animated films wouldn’t have been possible in those live action films. The idea of creating a multiverse of Spider-Man is really outstanding and has worked. Have you ever imagined a dog, horse, dinosaur being Spider-Man? There are ‘n’ number of Spider-Man living in Spider Society coming from different universes. Spider-Man animated films have made this possible and have showcased pathbreaking themes.
The action scenes and animation is top-notch. The film is very engaging and entertaining as you won’t realize when those 140 minutes come to an end. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse also has emotions. Though the subject is a little bit complex it doesn’t make you feel bored or something. The idea of spider verse wouldn’t have been possible without complexity. The makers have created a perfect blend of complex and entertainment.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has many things for you in the store. The film has new techniques, new characters, new effects and much more. This film does not have a single dull scene and thanks to the amazing screenplay. There are some conversation scenes which are long, but the remaining show is so powerful that it doesn’t hurt the narrative much. Still there should have been a little trimming to those scenes. The execution is top notch which makes a greater viewing experience.
Overall, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is a must watch film for all ages. The film is a big screen experience and watching it in IMAX would really make your viewing experience better. Animated lovers would surely go gaga for this film. The film has much more to offer than a live action film. And the main thing is that it lives upto the expectations which were there from the sequel. The worst part of the film is that it ended soon. Undoubtedly the 2nd best Spider-Man film ever made. Spider-Man: Across The Spider Verse has just raised our excitement and expectations for the 3rd part Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider Verse.
