The teaser for 120 Bahadur, the film marking Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar’s triumphant return, has left fans feeling both proud and emotional. Farhan portrays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a real-life army hero who bravely faced 3,000 Chinese troops with only 120 soldiers during the Battle of Rezang La in 1962. As of 6 August, the trailer is #11 on charts for trending film industries.

The teaser starts with cold, snowy scenes from Ladakh, where Indian soldiers are ready to give their lives for the country. Farhan’s character says in a strong voice, “Hum peeche nahi hatenge” (We will not step back). Another powerful line from him is “Yeh wardi sirf himmat nahi, balidan bhi maangti hai” (This uniform demands not just courage, but sacrifice too). Fans say these lines gave them goosebumps. The teaser leaves a powerful impact overall, striking the perfect balance between emotion, patriotism, and intensity.

Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC was a brave Indian soldier who received the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military honour, after he died in battle. On November 18, 1962, he and his men fought to protect Rezang La. Even though they were badly outnumbered, they caused huge damage to the enemy. Out of the 120 Indian soldiers, 114 lost their lives, but they reportedly killed over 1,300 enemy soldiers.The film tells the story of this heroic last stand.

The movie was shot in very tough places like Ladakh and Rajasthan, at heights of up to 14,000 feet, with freezing temperatures going down to –10°C. The actors were trained like real soldiers to make the scenes look real.120 Bahadur is directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, the film is set to release in theatres on November 21, 2025. It also stars Raashii Khanna, Eijaz Khan, Vivan Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach.

This is Farhan’s first acting role in four years, and fans are already loving it.
