Tiger 3 was released yesterday and took the nation by a storm. Tiger 3 was released on the day of Laxmi Pooja, which is considered as the worst day for Box Office.
Many of them criticized the decision of makers by releasing the film on Laxmi Pooja Day, but it seems like the day 1 numbers have proved everyone wrong.
Tiger 3 took an opening of 43 cr nett at the Box Office and emerged as the biggest opener of Salman Khan till date. Had Tiger 3 released on the next day of Laxmi Pooja, it would have emerged as the record opener for Bollywood by beating Jawan’s opening day record. The all language collection of Tiger 3 is 44.5 cr nett on Day 1.
Salman Khan has created a history on the day of Laxmi Pooja and this is the biggest achievement of Tiger 3.
Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger also took a record opening by collecting 32.93 cr in 2012. Tiger Zinda Hai also opened to 34.10 cr.
Tiger is the only franchise in Bollywood, whose each and every film has collected more than 30 cr on Day 1.
Tiger 3 has also emerged as 5th highest opener of all time in Bollywood. The 4 films in the top 5 belong to YRF.
