Diljit Dosanjh, one of Bollywood and Punjabi cinema’s most loved stars, is suddenly at the center of a storm, and this time, it’s not about a chartbuster song or his swaggy airport looks. Word on the street is that Diljit might be dropped from the much-awaited patriotic blockbuster Border 2 , all thanks to the controversy surrounding his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3. So, what’s the drama all about? The makers of Sardaar Ji 3 roped in Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, and that decision did not sit well with many, especially after recent tense developments in Kashmir.
Cue outrage, industry gossip, and a lot of pressure from key film bodies like FWICE, who raised red flags about working with Pakistani talent. To add fuel to the fire, veteran actor Puneet Issar came out swinging, questioning how anyone could cast a Pakistani actor in a film releasing in India right now.
