Ranbir Kapoor’s gangster drama Animal has become a nationwide sensation. The film has created a lot of noise and has created many records.

The film had actress Tripti Dimri in a special appearance. She made her debut with the Bollywood film Poster Boys in 2017. Laila Majnu (2018) was her first film as a leading lady. Her next 2 releases Bulbbul (2020) & Qala (2022) were directly released on Netflix.

Despite having a very small screen presence in Animal, Tripti has been widely recognized for her role as Zoya.

Tripti Dimri has rose to fame with Animal and this film has turned out to be a landmark film in her career.

Tripti plays the role of a mole in the film where she indulges Ranbir in sexual activities. Her main motive is to kill the whole family of Ranbir Kapoor.

The intimate scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Tripti Dimri have created a lot of noise on social media.

While speaking about the intimate scenes, Tripti said, “The day Sandeep Reddy Vanga sir offered me the film, he told me about these scenes. He said, ‘I promise you it will be aesthetically shot. But if you aren’t comfortable with it, we’ll think of a different way to do it.’ The rape scene that I did in Bulbbul was traumatic. I had to leave myself behind to portray that. I used the same approach here. There were four people on set which included Ranbir, Sandeep sir, the DoP and I. The monitors were shut. I felt I was surrounded by people who respected me.”

While revealing the reason why she said yes to play the role of Zoya, Tripti said, “She is a mole. She has come to kill him and his whole family. Sandeep sir said that  ‘I don’t want to see even a shred of negativity in her eyes’. I was immediately excited about the role.”

While speaking more about her character, Tripti said, “We did discuss a lot. I learnt in acting classes that you never judge your character. A character is also a human being and human beings are allowed to make mistakes. The day you judge your character, you won’t be able to play it honestly and people will catch it. As for this scene, prior to that, she is talking about killing him, his wife, his kids so there’s a lot at stake for him. So, I made sense of the scene like this.”

Animal has also faced criticism from the viewers for showing the male character in a dominating way. There have been debates where people were upset about the misogyny shown in the film.

Tripti while sharing her view about Ranbir’s character said, “His wife leaves him, his father is going to die. He is left with nothing. We see our mothers as figures of perfection, who have to do everything right. Why do we view our heroes the same way? We forget he is also a human being and is allowed to make mistakes.”

Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in the lead roles.
