The Kerala Story has taken the box office by a storm. The film has become a nationwide sensation and has been the 1st choice of cine goers.
Usually films take a drop in collections after the weekend. But in the case of The Kerala Story, the collections have just increased. The weekend 2 was higher than weekend 1 and now week 2 has scored higher than the week 1. The Kerala Story earned 81.36 cr nett at the end of week 1. The collections were in the range of 90.58 crores at the end of week 2. The film has collected 10 cr more than that of week 1.

The film has been made on a small budget of around 25 crores and the film has collected a total of 171.72 crores till date. The film has proved to be a historical blockbuster. The film is all set to enter the 200 cr club in the coming week. Even 250 cr looks a possibility as there are no big releases in this month. The 3rd weekend will also be huge looking at the demand of the film.
The Kerala Story had no big names, no big production value, no commercial elements, etc. but it had a strong content which led to huge footfalls. The film had a bold and controversial subject which made audience go to the theaters in large numbers. The positive WOM and immense buzz has made this film an All Time Blockbuster.
The Kerala Story is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles.
