Mumbai-based Summit Studios, a newly established production and post-production banner founded by producer Madhu Sharma, is stepping into the global spotlight in spectacular style. In its very first year, the company is celebrating not one, but two films being selected for the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2025.
Despite being only a few months old, the studio has already secured a remarkable achievement. Bayaan, directed by Bikas Mishra and featuring Huma Qureshi, is set to premiere in TIFF’s Discovery section, a category dedicated to showcasing bold, fresh cinematic voices from around the world. Alongside it, Vimukt (In Search of the Sky), helmed by Jitank Singh Gurjar, will debut in the coveted Centrepiece section, marking another milestone for the young studio.

For Sharma, this debut is more than just a launch, it’s the fulfilment of a vision. “At Summit Studios, our mission is to support original voices rooted in India while also resonating with audiences globally. To have Bayaan and Vimukt find their place at TIFF in our very first year feels like magic,” she shared.
She added, “It’s proof that the world is ready to embrace these stories, and we’re proud to bring them to life on such a celebrated stage.”Beyond production, Summit Studios also operates as a cutting-edge post-production hub, equipped with services including DI, VFX, and sound, offering filmmakers a complete creative ecosystem under one roof.
“The idea,” Sharma explained, “is to build a space where creativity and technology come together seamlessly, where a story can be nurtured from its earliest spark to its final frame on screen.”With two world premieres at TIFF 2025 in its inaugural year, Summit Studios has firmly announced its arrival as one of India’s most promising new players, committed to delivering bold, artistic cinema that can stand tall on the world stage.
