Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya are amongst one of the most successful actor-director duo. Both of them started their career together with Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. Maine Pyar Kiya turned out to be an all time blockbuster and biggest hit of the year.
The duo collaborated in 1994 for Hum Aapke Hain Koun. HAHK is an emotion for many families across the nation. HAHK is the biggest hit since 1994 in terms of footfalls. HAHK proved to be a gamechanger film for Salman Khan. The film was loved by every age group of audience.
The duo collaborated in 1999 for another family drama film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. Hum Saath Saath Hain proved to be a huge blockbuster and was the biggest hit of the year.
After 3 consecutive blockbusters, the duo decided to make another family drama. Their 4th collaboration took time and happened after 16 years. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was the fourth film of Salman and Sooraj together which was released in 2015.
Now Salman will be seen once again in Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film tentatively titled ‘Prem Ki Shaadi’. The film is another family drama which has all the ingredients of a Sooraj Barjatya film. The film will be high on emotions, family values, drama, romance. comedy and music.
In an exclusive interview with us, Salman Khan was all praise for his director. While speaking about Sooraj Barjatya he said, “I am doing Sooraj Barjatya’s film. I love that genre. All our families are very big, especially if we talk about joint families. If we include family members and friends, my family also has 60 to 70 people in it. There are many bigger families than us who go together and watch a single film and only Sooraj Barjatya can do it. In some of the films only 10 to 15 people will go and watch it, or sometimes they will go differently in a group of 3 to watch the film, but in the case of Sooraj Barjatya the whole family goes together. A family books 25 to 30 tickets together for a Sooraj Barjatya film. Only Sooraj Barjatya can bring so many people from a family together in theaters.”
