The Indian entertainment industry mourns the loss of one of its most cherished figures, Dheeraj Kumar, veteran actor, visionary producer-director, and founder of Creative Eye Ltd, who passed away on Tuesday, 15th July 2025 around noon, surrounded by his loved ones.
With a career spanning nearly five decades, Dheeraj Kumar was more than just an artist, he was a cultural force who helped shape the landscape of both Indian cinema and television. He began his acting journey in 1970 with the film Raaton Ka Raja, and soon became a familiar face in Hindi and Punjabi films. He starred alongside legends like Dev Anand and Manoj Kumar in iconic films including Heera Panna, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and Swami.
However, it was his transition behind the camera that, truly redefined his legacy. As the founder of Creative Eye Ltd, Dheeraj ji was instrumental in bringing some of the most influential and spiritually resonant shows to Indian television. His productions such as Om Namah Shivay, Shree Ganesh, Jai Santoshi Maa, and Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyan left a lasting impact on viewers across generations. Shows like Ye Pyar Na Hoga Kam and Ishq Subhan Allah continued his tradition of weaving narratives rich in emotion, culture, and social depth.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dheeraj Kumar was known for his gentle soul, generous heart, and magnetic humility. Those who had the privilege to work with him often speak of his infectious laughter, his unwavering warmth, and his uncanny ability to make everyone, from a newcomer to a seasoned veteran, feel seen and valued.
