Maddock Films has unveiled the first musical gem from its Diwali release Thamma, and it’s an instant heartbreaker. “Tum Mere Na Huye, Na Sahi,” performed by Madhubanti Bagchi with composer duo Sachin-Jigar, brings raw emotion and irresistible rhythm to the studio’s much-loved Horror-Comedy Universe. Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya pens words that pierce straight through the heart, while the grand visuals and passionate choreography make this track impossible to forget.
Front and centre are Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana, whose crackling chemistry fuels the song’s intoxicating mix of pain and allure. Rashmika appears in a bold, never-before-seen avatar, embodying the defiance and vulnerability of a woman confronting heartbreak. The dance routine swings from smouldering intensity to hypnotic grace, perfectly mirroring the lyrics’ ache.
Madhubanti, who shot to fame with Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2, calls the reunion with her Stree collaborators a “musical homecoming,” praising the “exquisite” composition and the thrill of working again with Sachin-Jigar and Bhattacharya. The composer duo describe the track as “haunting, romantic, and a dance number all at once,” crediting Madhubanti’s soulful voice and the film’s visuals for making it a complete package.
On screen, Rashmika beams about the shoot: “Every element, the music, the choreography, the set, overflowed with heart. I loved every moment of it and hope the audience feels the same energy.” Ayushmann echoes her excitement, calling Rashmika “a natural, expressive dancer whose presence lifts the entire song.”
Releasing this Diwali, Thamma promises a heady blend of romance, humour, and supernatural suspense as two star-crossed lovers battle forces beyond the natural world. With its infectious beats and striking cinematography, Tum Mere Na Huye, Na Sahi offers audiences a tantalising glimpse of the mystery and magic that await when the film opens.
