Randeep Hooda is one of the finest actors of our country. He easily gets into the skin of a character and delivers a power-packed performance. This is not the first time Randeep Hooda is doing a biopic.

We have seen Randeep essaying the role of the serial killer Charles Sobhraj in Main Aur Charles, Sarbjit Singh in Sarbjit and painter Raja Ravi Varma in Rang Rasiya. Randeep has always given his best whenever he has appeared in a biopic. He has portrayed the characters in a commendable and convincing manner by leaving a long lasting impact on the audience.

Sarbjit might be the most physically challenging role for Randeep, but after looking at the trailer of Savarkar, one can easily say this has to be the toughest and most mentally challenging role for Randeep. Randeep has donned the director’s hat for the first time. There wouldn’t have been any better film for Randeep than Savarkar, to step into the world of direction.

Randeep essays the role of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar aka Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The story of Savarkar ji is a roller-coaster ride. The story is controversial and by looking at the trailer it seems like, makers have handled the subject with care. The film has many hard-hitting and impactful dialogues which are thought provoking and enough to give goosebumps.

Randeep is spectacular as Savarkar Ji. His voice, look, attitude and personality is next to Savarkar. He is seen in 5 to 6 different looks in the trailer and nails each and every of them. His physical transformation is not at Sarbjit level, but surely reminds us of it.

Randeep has also written this film and seems like he has tried to tell each and every possible important event that took place at that time. Randeep has been exceptional in handling 4 departments at one time, i.e. actor, director, producer and writer.

The trailer consists of many other talented actors like Ankita Lokhande, Amit Sial, Rajesh Khera, Mrinal Dutt to name a few. The production design looks top notch. The set design and make-up is upto the mark.

There have been many films made on revolutionary leaders and legendary freedom fighters. The story of a leader like Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was very much needed who promoted Hindutva like never before, and kudos to the whole team for bringing up this story.

Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is directed by Randeep Hooda. The film is produced by Randeep Hooda, Sam Khan, Anand Pandit, Yogesh Rahar and Sandeep Singh. The film is all set to release on 22nd March.
