In an incredibly moving gesture, TV actor Parag Tyagi etched the face of his late wife, Shefali Jariwala, across his chest, a permanent tribute to immortalize her memory close to his heart.
Just six weeks after her sudden demise on June 27, 2025, Parag quietly walked into a tattoo studio. A video, shared by the tattoo artist, shows him composed and introspective as the needle brings Shefali’s portrait, one that once graced their home in a framed photo, onto his body .
The clip struck a deep emotional chord with fans. Within moments of going live, social media was flooded with messages like “True love,” “God bless him,” and heartfelt prayers for both Parag’s healing and Shefali’s peace.
But this somber moment isn’t the only way Parag is honoring Shefali’s legacy. On August 12, marking their wedding anniversary, he launched two meaningful initiatives: The Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation for Girls’ Education and Women Empowerment, and a YouTube podcast channel set to bring her unfulfilled dreams to life.
Parag, known for his emotionally resonant tributes on Instagram, even captures Shefali’s ‘essence’ in his posts. He has referred to her as “fire wrapped in grace” and declared undying love in his captioned words: “I will love you in every lifetime…”.
Though the tattoo is an outward expression of his internal grief, it has also attracted unwarranted backlash. Trolls accused Parag of using Shefali’s memory for attention, but television personality Arti Singh came to his defense, stating: “Only the one living through it truly understands.”
From intimate tributes to launching lasting legacies, Parag Tyagi’s journey of grief is unfolding in front of everyone, but it’s clear his actions come from a place of steadfast love, not publicity.
