Adipurush was one of the most awaited films, ever since it was announced. The fimm had a good amount of buzz and anticipation amongt the audience. The film would have created a havoc at the Box Office and would have been in the list of top 3 highest grossing films, if it was well made and had received postive WOM.
The teaser of the film was out and it faced heavy negativity for its poor and cartoonish VFX. After getting negative response the makers postponed their film by 6 months.
The trailer of the film was released and it got mixed response, and got trolled for its casting and VFX. 2 video songs were out before the release and got appreciation for the video, but received negative response for visuals.
When you make a film on God, you have to be utmost careful and sensitive. When the film released, it got heavily trolled for its dialogues, VFX, casting, direction, presentation, execution, writing, visual effects, etc.
Adipurush is based on Hindu epic Ramayana and the emotions of millions of people are connected to it. There are many devotees of Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman worldwide and you can’t go wrong with the presentation, if the film is based on God.
The film was heavily trolled and bashed for its dialogues. The dialogues by Manoj Muntashir were totally unacceptable. Some dialogues like, ‘Lanka Laga Denge’, ‘Bua Ka Bagicha’, Jalegi Bhi Tere Baap Ki’, etc. were heavily bashed.
The film got an opening of around 140 crores worldwide and then it had a downfall in the collections over the weekend. The film had collected 35 cr+ on all 3 days and on the 4th day, negative word of mouth came into the play.
After doing a business of approx 112.25 cr nett (HINDI) in its opening weekend, the film had shocking numbers in the range of 8.5-9 cr on Monday.
The film will see a downfall in its coming days and will struggle to go past 150cr in Hindi markets.
The film also underperformed in South markets. After earning 48 cr nett on its opening day in Telugu markets, the film managed to earn only 9-10 cr on Monday.
The film is made on a huge budget of 550 crores and is one of the costliest films made in India. By looking at the numbers, the film will not be a profitable venture for the makers. The film will be unsuccessful at the Box Office.
We will have to wait and see what the future numbers will be like and what will be the lifetime collections of Adipurush.
