Mrs.Chatterjee Vs Norway is based on the autobiography of Sagarika Bhattacharya titled ‘The Journey Of A Mother’. The book tells the story about a mother whose children were taken away by the Norwegian Childcare System. The book tells the journey of a mother and her struggle of fighting for her children.

The plot – Debika Chatterjee (Rani Mukerji) along with her husband Anirudh Chatterjee (Anirban Bhattacharya) migrate to Norway. They are blessed with two children Shubh and Suchi. One day Norwegian Child Welfare Services named as Velfred take away both their children and their lives are turned upside down. Velfred declares Debika an unfit mother and just because of some cultural differences declare her mentally unstable. She also doesn’t get justice by the court and is later betrayed by her family members. She doesn’t get much needed support and how she fights against the whole nation single handedly forms the crux of the story.

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway is directed by Ashima Chibber and produced by Emmay Entertainment and Zee Studios. The film stars Rani Mukerji, Anirban Bhattacharya and Jim Sarbh amongst others. The film is written by Sameer Satija, Ashima Chibber and Rahul Handa. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi.
